
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Training
The Correct Compliance Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Training program is a comprehensive 1-day course. It has been designed using guidelines set out in the CSA B335-15 (R2020) Safety Standard for Lift Trucks, Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and Regulation 851: Industrial Establishments.

What is taught?
The Correct Compliance MHE Training program covers:

Introduction and workplace injury statistics

Relevant legislation & standards
-
Legislated responsibilities and duties of workers, supervisors and employers

Identifying various lift trucks related to work environment

Pre-Shift Inspections: Visual & Operational

Data plates, capacity and load limitations

Fuel safety: electric, propane, diesel, gasoline

Safe operating procedures

Pedestrian safety and awareness
How long is the program?
The MHE program can be up to 8 hours, depending on the number of participant, their experience levels and pieces of equipment to be trained on. It also includes practical evalutations on the equipment, and knowledge verification in the form of a test. An 80% passing grade is required to receive a certificate.
How many people can attend?
We generally allow up to 10 participants per course, but occasionally accomodate up to 12 participants. We do not offer public classes at this time.
How much does it cost?
Training programs are completed either in a half day or full day and are priced as such. A half day program is $650, and a full day program is $1000.

The MHE program is not suitable for Elevated Work Platform (EWP) equipment such as boom lifts.
